Facilities

Lodge

This air-conditioned building provides a large commercial kitchen perfect for cooking for a large group.  Men's and women's restrooms and a large meeting room with tables and chairs can accommodate a group of 75-100 with ease.  Central heat, plus a fireplace, keeps it comfortable for fall and winter gatherings.  New ceiling insulation and tiles and blinds on the windows enhance the experience.  The porch serves as a great area for outdoor picnics and games.

Cabins

You can easily sleep up to 60 people in the Camp's six cabins.  With ten people per cabin, the single beds are comfortable.  Recently remodeled and painted, the cabins can accommodate a family or group of friends.  You can rent one or all six.  A bath house with men's and women's showers and other bathroom facilities are available for those using the cabins.

RV Hookups

If RVing is more to your liking, Camp McFadden Recreational Area offers six RV hook-ups with 30 amp service.  This is great for those mixed groups who have some wanting to stay in their RV and others in the cabins, yet meet together in the lodge for meals and other activities.

  Tent Camping

Whether on your own or with a reunion, there is lots of room for tent camping.  Pick your spot and enjoy the outdoors.  But, remember fires must be in a fire ring

.

 High and Low Ropes Courses

For those with minimal abilities or individuals who want a real challenge, Camp McFadden Recreational Area offers both low and high ropes courses.  Certified instructors are ready to take your group through the challenges of either course for a group of ten or more.  The ropes courses help people overcome fears and offer great team building skills for organizations and companies.

Canoe and Fishing Ponds

Looking for more leisurely activity?  Bring your fishing pole and drop it in the fishing pond.  Relax on our brand new dock or grab a paddle and launch one of the canoes in the Canoe pond.

Hiking Trails

If nature and hiking are your thing, then take off on one of the area's many hiking trails.  These have been marked for you to easily follow from the ponds to the lake to the ropes course to Kaw Lake...all over the camp there are trails for you to explore nature.

All of this on the shore of Kaw Lake with a beautiful view and lake access.
